Survey on Internationally Trained Professionals
The Center, The Utah Center for Immigration & Integration at GOEO
The Survey on Internationally Trained Professionals was conducted to help identify the education, skills, and experience internationally trained professionals bring to the U.S. and the barriers they may face when seeking professional licenses in Utah and returning to work in their sectors. Overall, the findings suggest that New Americans in Utah face significant challenges in obtaining occupational licenses. To ensure that the talents and expertise of New Americans are fully utilized, it is crucial to address and overcome these barriers through targeted support measures, building networks with industry and business for talent pathways, and improved access to language resources.
